Big shoes to fill but I’m ready for the task. Humbled and honored to be endorsed by current District 15 Orange County Legislator, Chris Eachus. He was instrumental in starting Orange County’s Green Committee. Something many residents have voiced concerns about. I promise to keep up the work in protecting our area!

 

Really enjoy working with our scouts from New Windsor Troop 4028.  As a merit badge counselor for communications, personal management (and a few others),  I work  with our scouts to help them not only complete requirements but also help them explore the subjects as possible careers. Our youths are our future and are worth our investment of time and leadership. Thank you to all of you who volunteer your time in the community!

Enjoyed breakfast with my mom at the American Legion Post 1796 on Sunday. Love that Midshipmen coffee! Always happy to support the veterans. We have plenty of current and retired service people in our family – Air Force, Marines, Navy, Air National Guard AND ARMY ♡

I was at the Making Strides Cancer Walk at Woodbury Commons Sunday morning . AMAZED at the energy and efforts of so many. Kudos to all the participating groups including the Newburgh School staff and students.  We have to keep up the battle against every form of cancer. Please get checked early. My dad suffered from colon cancer. #TeamSotomayor #TeamUs #TeamMichele .

When I was MUCH younger, my family owned a restaurant in Queens NY. People of all backgrounds came to it. I met and learned that regardless of their language or religion, they all wanted the best for their families and community. The interactions have most certainly enhanced my business career.  I’ve had the pleasure to work for and with various international corporations and made connections all over. I will do my best empowering everyone to getting involved in education, and community issues and building coalitions! While the world is large, our connections are closer than 6 degrees.

CSEA is made up of hard working community members, the very same people that I’ve always worked to advocate for in whatever organization I’ve been involved with. For the past 15 years I’ve advocated for education fairness in the Newburgh School District understanding that everyone has a part to play in education regardless of their job title and that families deserve a fair education regardless of their social status. As a treasurer, committee member, board member, or delegate of various community organizations I’ve always worked to provide programs for our youths and families. It’s my honor to represent CSEA and to continue to advocate for our hard working community members.

Had the honor of being invited to the Association of Fire Districts’ Legislative Breakfast this morning. Grateful for all their service. Appreciated the opportunity to learn of the pressing issues they face from Commissioner D. Green and other members. I hope to be able to work resolve them.

Have we talked yet? I’ve been out in the area introducing myself. Learning that we want the same – real representation of the community, not political discussions.
