New Windsor Residents – stay informed. What values and what drawbacks would a garbage to renewal fuel project bring to our area?

BioHiTech  wants to use garbage as renewal fuel in the Stewart Airport area.  Sounds good? We must consider the pros and cons to our area – traffic, emissions, sever weather, value to residents??  Stay informed, attend the town planning board sessions

SUPPORT OUR PRESS

MORE IMPORTANT THAN EVER BEFORE, we need to support our journalists whether local, national or international. Otherwise larger organizations with more $$ will take control of what we read and possibly believe. How else can we stay informed of corruption and back room deals using our hard earned tax dollars. Subscribe to something today & stay informed!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

MMead

I would like to thank each and every person who took the time to perform your civic duty and vote, although we didn’t win in November your confidence in me will never be forgotten.

When the Boy Scouts of America celebrated their 100 year anniversary, NW Troop 4028’s then Scoutmaster, T. Wersebe, asked the troop and members what made scouting important to each of us. I answered “CITIZENSHIP”. As a first generation American, I felt the opportunity for us to teach and foster citizenship to our youths was of the utmost importance. I am personally humbled and extremely honored to have had the support of people encouraging citizenship in our communities.
Thank you to all who have opened your doors and shared your views, I will continue to encourage dialogue and awareness.
Thank you to all who came out to vote, it was a very close race for a short campaign. Your support shows that we can make our voices heard!
Thank you to each of you who have encouraged awareness and lent your support, it gave me the opportunity to show others including my own children that we all can make a difference. I look forward to encouraging more citizenship!!
Sincerely,
Sylvia

Girl Scout Cookies Are Not Just Nostalgia

Girl Scout cookie sales do more than satisfy your taste buds.  They help councils and troops fund programs that build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.   Proud to be part of the New Windsor Girl Scout Service Unit 218 which works to host projects each month that support our community – including  veterans, seniors, food pantry and more.  My own daughter, Samantha, saved her cookie sale credits to fund her Girl Scout Gold Award Project – silent witness silhouettes for Orange County Safe Homes representing people killed in the area by domestic violence .

Thank you to all the volunteers that work to make our communities a better place!
